Description of the Known Issue: Documents will not returned by the Search function if the Document Type has been modified. This will be the case when the document is currently Approved & Effective and the Document Type name is modified while in this state. Until the document is modified again, indexing will not be triggered. Refer to the following article in the Knowledge Base for the actions that trigger document indexing and how documents are retrieved by the Search function: https://docs.solabs.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500010689541
First Date Reported: 2020-05-27
Impacted Release(s) (Release Number(s)): 10.7.0, 10.8.0 and over
Work Around: If the document is currently in an Approved & Effective status, performing a Modify Metadata Only action on this document will trigger indexing. This action can be taken without actually doing any metadata modifications; just simply submitting and confirming the action (and providing a Reason for Change). The document will then be searchable again for any user having sufficient privileges on the document.
On the next modification of this document (next version), it will be retrieved again through the Search function for the users that have the appropriate privileges to see that document status.
