In February 2022, SOLABS' Head of Client Success Ericka Moore interviewed several of our clients. The purpose of this interview was to get feedback on their satisfaction with the software and with SOLABS as a company.
In addition, we have conducted interviews with clients in 2020 following the launch of SOLABS QM 10.8.
Here is a summary of the feedback we received.
What are the impacts of QM10 on your daily activities?
The document control features help keep track of documents and provide better control over the process of rendering them effective.
QM10 allows for a lot of operations to be performed remotely where that would be impossible in a paper-based system.
The collaborative possibilities of SOLABS QM10 make it much easier to have multiple people involved in approving a single document or going through a single process.
The ability to run the software on mobile and tablets is very handy when traveling.
The system is easy to adopt throughout an organization.
How does that compare to your initial expectations during implementation?
QM10 does what is expected from an EQMS.
What you see in the demo is what you get.
The initial setup demands important efforts from the project manager on the client's end.
Past complainers have changed their minds and speak highly of QM10 now.
What is the one thing you enjoy the most about using our EQMS QM10?
The amount of paper that is saved by going electronic.
The ability to access documents, training, and processes at all times and from anywhere.
The ability to get a clear overview of information regarding documents, training, and processes via reports.
The Training Records Management features are very robust and simplify the training process once it is properly set up.
Customer requests influence SOLABS' business decisions and releases going forward.
The system is straightforward and user-friendly.
The reports are very useful, especially when sent automatically by email via the subscription function.
What differentiates QM10 from other EQMS you have used or seen in the past?
QM10 is fully configurable and the SOLABS team can help make any changes requested.
QM10 is built for Life Sciences organizations and is easy to understand for Life Sciences employees.
There is a lot of benefits for organizations to host all your quality information under one roof. E.g. only one system to rely on during external or regulatory audits.
QM10 does have fewer features when compared to systems deployed in large-size enterprises (over 2000-3000 employees). This is expected however since larger companies use a combination of specialized software instead of an integrated solution.
QM10 is fit for purpose for mid-size enterprises (under 2000 employees). It does not have all the bells and whistles of larger systems but provides all the important functions.
QM10 can be purchased out of the box without much configuration for a quick implementation.
What is the one thing your end-user community enjoys the most about using QM10?
The Core Functionalities work well and are simple to master.
Recording training is a simple and quick process.
The notion of a paperless approach is very appreciated.
The software is a strong collaboration platform when coupled with remote screen sharing.
Having all the records of the quality system under one integrated software allows the user to create links between items and helps in creating records that resemble reality.
The support team is very good and provides assistance quickly.
Are there any hindrances that prevent you from making the most out of QM10?
Learning curve impacts the appreciation of the software:
-
- Frequent users love it
- Sporadic users have a harder time figuring it out
Handling training in different languages can be a challenge.
Pages can take a few seconds to load, which is annoying when performing a high volume of activities.
We understand that management is concerned with savings and costs. Which of these resonates the most when justifying continual investment in an EQMS?
Document control, training and quality processes take much less time with QM10, which saves more than it costs.
Investing in an EQMS is a no-brainer in the current times.
QM10 is a decision-making tool that assists with compliance.
In today's environment purchasing an EQMS is necessary to remain competitive with other Life Sciences companies.
The electronic software gives a better impression of the state of control when being audited.
