Clients using Questionmark OnDemand to manage online training assessments must know that the Questionmark Timezone Setting within SOLABS QM10 Setup section needs to be aligned with the one for the SOLABS QM10 server in which your SOLABS QM10 instances are located.
This setting can be modified by a user in the role SOLABS System Administrator, in the Setup section of SOLABS QM10 under the External Training Provider Configurations section:
For clients hosted by SOLABS, the Timezone is generally set to UTC-4. This timezone is taking into consideration the daylight-saving time, as opposed to the Questionmark Timezone setting in the SOLABS QM10 SETUP section, that is in GMT (and not UTC). The GMT setting does not take into consideration the daylight-saving time.
Importantly: A SOLABS System Administrator needs to make sure that the setting for the Questionmark Timezone in the SETUP section is aligned with the SOLABS QM10 server.
EX:
When the SOLABS QM10 server timezone is at UTC-4, the Questionmark Timezone in SOLABS QM10 SETUP section needs to be set to GMT-4. In 2022, the daylight-saving time ends on Sunday, November 7 at 2:00 AM The SOLABS QM10 server timezone will then be set to UTC-5 On November 6, 2022 the SOLABS System Administrator will need to access the SETUP Section and modify the Questionmark Timezone to GMT-5 to be aligned with the SOLABS QM server timezone. This needs to be done every time the daylight-saving time starts and ends. |
