What happens to the comments in a Microsoft Office document when it is uploaded in QM10?

Comments that are saved within a Microsoft Office file are kept as is in the file that is stored in SOLABS QM10. They will not appear in the converted (PDF) file when the document is in approval or once it is approved and effective, but they will always be present when the editable version is opened. 

One important thing to note is that track changes could be automatically toggled on/off in MS Word files, depending on the instance's settings and the status of the document. Refer to the following article for more information on this subject.
