Every month, SOLABS gathers user count data for each of our clients.
What information is gathered and when?
We record the count of the following type of users:
- Standard
- Train IDs
- External
Information is gathered on the 28th of each month.
What is the purpose of gathering this information?
Invoicing purposes
The main goal is to the able to invoice are clients versus their contracts. SOLABS doesn't enforce a mechanism of licenced users, meaning a client can activate has many accounts as he wants without notifying SOLABS. There is no need to buy a licence pack or enter codes to unlock a bulk of licences.
On the other hand, our invoicing is based on a per user model and therefore we need to have reports on user's utilization. When billing, we take the average amount of users over the last 3 months as the official user count.
Trending purposes
The reports also serve for trending purposes: what type of users are mostly been used and in which type of pharma company.
Backend licences
To operate our solution in the hosting center, we need to pay software providers licences for the use of their software. While we have backend reports, we do cross reference with the user count report from time to time to ensure we are in synch with client usage.
