Sometimes, your emails from QM10 will be received in your junk folder. This is typically due to your system flagging our emails as spam. The following procedures detail how to mark a sender as safe or whitelisted so they never end up in the junk folder.
Outlook
How to Add a Sender to the Safe Senders List in Microsoft Outlook
1. On the Ribbon, from the Home tab, in the Delete group, select Junk.
2. From the drop-down list, select Junk E-mail Options.
3. Select the Safe Senders tab.
4. Click Add.
5. In the Add address or domain dialog box, type your SOLABS QM instance notification email address or the SOLABS.COM domain.
6. Click OK.
Filtering Rules
Filtering rules can be used to ensure the emails sent by your QM10 environment don't end up in the junk folder.
1. Click on one of the emails received by QM10.
2. On the Ribbon, from the Move tab, select Rules.
3. Select Create Rules.
4. In the section When I get email of all the selected conditions: tick From <QM10 instance email address>.
5. In the section, Do the following:
- Tick Display in the New Item Alert window.
- Tick Move to the item folder (choose the folder you would like, it can be Inbox or another.)
6. Click OK
7. Tick Run this rule now on messages already in the current folder.
8. Click OK
Exchange (Microsoft 365)
Transport rules
- Log in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center (admin.microsoft.com) using your administrator credentials.
- Go to the Exchange admin center by clicking on "Admin centers" in the left-hand navigation pane and selecting "Exchange".
- In the Exchange admin center, navigate to "Mail flow" and then click on "Rules" in the top menu.
- Click on the "+" icon to create a new transport rule.
- In the "Name" field, provide a descriptive name for the rule, such as "Whitelist Rule for Selected Users".
- Under "Apply this rule if...", you can define conditions to identify the desired users or groups. For example, you can choose to apply the rule if the message is sent to specific users or groups.
- Under "Do the following...", select the action you want to apply. In this case, choose "Modify the message properties" and then select "Set the spam confidence level (SCL) to..." Set it to a lower value like "0" or "Bypass spam filtering".
- In the same section, you can also add an exception if needed. For example, you can exclude internal emails or specific senders from the rule.
- Under "Except if...", you can specify additional conditions to exclude certain scenarios from the rule. This can help refine the rule's behavior.
- Once you have configured all the necessary settings, click "Save" to create the transport rule.
