Many SaaS offerings have all of their clients' data within a single database. At SOLABS we believe that the Life Sciences industry data should be well protected and isolated. This is why we implemented levels of isolation within our data structure.
Dedicated database per client
We provide dedicated databases for each of our clients. There is no data exchange nor direct link between databases.
Dedicated database per SOLABS QM instance
We also provide dedicated databases for each SOLABS QM instance. Therefore, the data from the Test, Validation and Production environments are isolated for one another.
When interacting with a SQL object such as reading data, writing data, executing a view or executing a stored procedure, the schema name is required to reach that object. By having unique schema names per database, it is nearly impossible to access the wrong object by error.
Unique login & password
Each database has its own unique login (username) and password, to ensure a high level of access security. This ensures that only the right SOLABS QM can be accessed.
