You do not need to manually close training activities in SOLABS QM10!
The completion of training in SOLABS QM10 is tracked through the status of the training assignment - "Assigned" or "Trained". When users complete their assigned training, their status becomes "Trained" for this activity. This is what you should look for in training reports.
The Completion Percentage is also displayed within the Training Activity and can help follow the completion:
When training is complete for a particular Training Activity, you should leave it Active. You do not need to manually close it unless for some reason you want to be sure it is not assigned to new users in the future. This way, it is possible to assign new users to the training, in the case for example of new employees requiring training on a particular document.
What about Training Activities associated with a Curriculum set up with a Recurrence Based on Document Revision?
In this case, the Curriculum and any Training Activities within it will automatically go to a "Closed" status when a new version of the Curriculum Document is approved. At the same time, a new Curriculum and new Training Activities will automatically be created, following the rules you established in the Recurrence Settings for that Curriculum.
How do I remove a Training Activity from a Function Role?
From within the Training Activity, choose the Add Activity to Profile option from the right-hand menu. On the next screen, the "Assigned" box will include a list of all the Function Roles that are currently linked to that Training Activity as part of the profile. Each listing has a "Remove" option to the right. Simply click that option to remove the link between the Training Activity and the Function Role. This could also be done via the Training Administration menu by selecting the "Modify by Training Activity" option.
A word of caution:
When you Close a Training Activity or remove it from a Function Role, make sure there are no open training assignments that need to be completed first. Otherwise, Training Compliance Reports will still list that Training Activity as a requirement - the Training Activity itself will show on the Report as "Closed" and the status of that training assignment for the user will show as "Not Trained".
