As of Release 10.9.0, every client will have access to the possibility of creating and linking online training assessments to Training Activities in SOLABS QM10. Assessments such as quizzes or exams, created in a system called Questionmark OnDemand, can be linked to a Training Activity. When linked, the assessment becomes a “pre-requisite”, in addition to the reading of a procedure, or an on-the-job-training, for example.
Each client will have “super users” that will have access to the Questionmark OnDemand system to create a bank of questions of different types (true/false, multiple choice, etc.) that are called ‘Topics’. These Topics can be used to create Assessments that will be linked in SOLABS QM10 to a Training Activity. Once linked, the assignee will have to complete the assessment when the training activity is accessed. It is not possible to record training completion without the completion of the assessment with a successful result (Grade). If the trainee fails the assessment, the Training Activity is automatically reassigned and the assessment needs to be performed again.
This provides the possibility to add an additional level of control for training. Linking an assessment will remain optional and it will still be possible to create Training Activities without them by selecting "No" for the field Assessment Required?. Therefore, even though this new feature will be available and activated when you update to Release 10.9.0, it will have no impact on the current behavior of the system. Training Activities with or without an assessment will co-exist in SOLABS QM10.
