Creating a Curriculum and Training Activities with the “Auto-populate from” Option: What is This Doing?

When a Curriculum is created in SOLABS QM10, it is possible to use the Auto-populate fields from option, which is available at the top of the Curriculum Create page. This can be useful for Training Coordinators when many similar Curriculums with similar Training Activities need to be created.

What is this doing?

When you click on the Open option beside the Auto-populate fields from option, a list of the last 10 curriculums that you, as a SOLABS Training Administrator, have created will be displayed:

When you select one of the listed Curriculums, the ‘Create’ page will be reloaded and the following attributes of the curriculum metadata will be auto-populated with the same values as the chosen Curriculum:

• Name
• Description

When you create the Training Activities within that curriculum, the same  Auto-populates fields from option will be available and will display the last 10 Training Activities that you have created when you click on the Open option:

When you select one of the listed Training Activities, the ‘Create’ page will be reloaded and the following attributes of the training activity metadata will be auto-populated with the same values of the chosen Training Activity:

• Name
• Category
• Description
• Purpose
• Method of Instruction
• Method of Evaluation
• Estimated Duration
• Cost

All of the values can be modified if required once auto-populated for the new Curriculum and new Training Activity.
